Isabelle's Lodge (50 W Mark St)
1 Block to Winona State University
Single Rooms with Private, Full Bathroom and Kitchenette Formerly the Burlington Hotel and later a boarding house, the site of Isabelle's Lodge was a stopping point for travelers to Winona via train for over 100 years. After years of neglect, the original building was raised and Isabelle's Lodge was constructed on the site in 2010. Named in honor of the previous owner and daughter of the hotel's owner, Isabelle's Lodge features private dorm-style units 1 block east of Winona State. Each unit has a private full bathroom and kitchenette. Custom-built cabinets, wood floors, and tasteful color schemes adorn each unit. Isabelle's Lodge residents have the luxury of security, comfort, and convenience near the heart of campus. Isabelle's features a sprinkler system with full alarm monitoring for resident safety. Access is controlled with resident key card or intercom system. Monitored security cameras are present for added resident safety. Each unit has separately controlled heat and A/C. Each private bathroom has soft water conditioning. Beyond-code insulation in all of the walls results in efficient, private space for residents to study and relax. These, new, deluxe private units are 100 yards from the main campus at WSU. A private parking lot is available for residents to use. Located across the street from the newly remodeled train station, students can travel between the Twin Cities, Chicago areas and beyond, via Amtrak. With bike lanes throughout the city, excellent city bus service, the WSU shuttle, and now a "car-share program" at WSU, many residents choose to leave their cars at home! There are also laundry facilities located on-site for added convenience.
